Trip to KL

Last weekend, we (my mom, Kai Xuan, Wei Howe, Hai Hui, Michelle, David, Pei Nuan and Cher Wei) went to KL to spend our long weekend. My initial plan was to go to Sunway Lagoon. My sis and bro-in-law also went there from Singapore to meet us, mainly their son.

Day 1:
We started our journey at 7.45am (supposely 6.30am). Luckily it was not a sunny day and the drive to KL was a leisure rather than a hectic. We stopped at Ipoh less than 2 hours later (unpredictably fast) for have a taste of the dim sum. I have to say, the experience was not really a pleasant one because the shop was too packed and we had to fit 10 people into 1 small table. As usual, my mom does not really like the situation, rather walk further down to get a breakfast at a local coffee shop. It wasn't easy for me because I was the middle person. Anyhow, I joined my mom and nephew at the coffee shop.

After our breakfast, we continued our journey to Tapah. Had a stop, bought a pack of two of preserve 'jambu batu' which is very sweet (I've tried that before in Johor last Christmas).

Must try! Then we continue to KL again....

At KL, we went our seperate ways. HH, M, D, PN & CW went to stay at hotel whereas me, my mom, KX and WH stay at my sis's. We reached my sister's place at 3pm. Rested while waiting for my elder sister to reach. She was caught in a jam at the Singapore and Johor immigration. Looks like a lot of people are coming to Malaysia for a holiday.

Our first shopping stop: Mid Valley/ The Gardens. We ate, walk around, then went back home. There goes our first day.

Day 2:
Woke up at 7.30am, get ready everything, then heading to Sunway Lagoon. Had our breakfast before enjoying ourselves. When we reached the entrance, it was jam packed with people. It was frustrating because there were so many queues and each counter sell different packages. And the sales girl was not really helping either. Finally we get into Sunway Lagoon, played a few rides, got to ride on the ATV and played flying fox. We did not have the chance to get on a lot of rides because we were to lazy to queue, so we just take our time, slowly enjoyed ourselves there. (and my souvenir from SL: 2 watched my family exchanged from the wristband and rashes on my skin thanks to Banana Boat sunblock. Sigh.

We came out from SL around 7.30pm. Went to eat Carl's Jr (again), then we go ahead with our own plan. We went to Mid Valley again after that to catch a movie. Ok, you must think that we are crazy to go all the way to KL just to catch a movie, but hey, it's not that. We went to the Gold Class which Penang doesn't have (I know we are 'sua pa kao' [forest monkey]) but at least we know what's all the big deal about Gold Class.
You should try!! The movie lasted more than 2 hours and we reached home around 2.30am!!

While we were at Mid Valley waiting for the movie to start, we spotted the bowling alley to be 'dark place'. Not anything that is against the law, please. It's just lighted with UV light so that things in white will glow. Not really a bad environment.
Then we went to the arcade next door. Saw my fave "Me to You" teddy in the vending machine (the pick up type). Keep persuading WH to get it for me. Alot of chances missed. Saw another couple got the brown one (cis!!). and I didn't get any :(

Day 3:
Woke up at 9am, started packing to get ready home. Leave my sister's house at 11am, heading to The Curve. Had our lunch, shop around then heading back to Penang again.

Our journey back, also greeted by grey clouds. Suppose to stop at Tapah but WH drove passed the exit. We stopped at Sg Perak R&R. Luckily we stopped early because it rained heavily after that.

After Sg Perak, next stop: Bukit Tambun, to indulge in seafood.

Caught in the jam at Penang Bridge when we are heading home. Stupid idea to cramp 7-8 lanes into 2 lanes bridge. Sigh.

Finally, reached home at 10.45pm.

Damn tired.

Conclusion: All I know is that the whole journey, always eat eat eat. Sad. I've gained weight again :(
