Dropped your mobile phone / iPod in water?
I've just received a forwarded email Howe. Some people do not like forwarded emails but I love them because some can be useful information, while some with cute, bizarre and funny pictures. Of course there's another type of forwarded mails like "..if you don't send this... you will get bad luck...". This kind of forwarded emails, I don't always forward to other people unless those informative. Certainly I don't believe in that whatever how many days luck. Also, there are those that needed help, forwarding mails to accumulate money. I don't really believe that works but there's no harm trying.
OK, back to the topic that I wanted to say, the forwarded email that I have just received from Howe. It is some thing very useful. You may I received it from me. I would like to share it again here in case others did not seen it before.
If you dropped your mobile phone or iPod into a pool of water or it is soaked with rain or any liquid, you don't have to be sad. Not until it is confirmed faulty. Try to do this first:
--> power off the device if it is not off
--> separate the battery from the device
--> completely cover the iPod or mobile phone and the battery in a bowl of rice/grain(uncooked rice).
--> let it dry for at least 24 hours and DO NOT try to charge the device.
This is something easy that can save your device before sending it out for servicing which might cost you a fortune. If we would have know this earlier, I won't feel guilty once upon a time. I invited a friend to my combines birthday party with Maxine during secondary school(someone might remember what happen). That time, those who have mobile phones are from well off family. So this friend of mine, whose father is rumored to be a Datuk (which I do not know if it's true or not), brought along his handphone to our party. We had a water fight or should I say, my other friends were playing water balloon which ended up using hose in my bathroom instead. They somehow hitting and pushing each other and this friend's handphone dropped into a small pool of water. And it's spoil. I felt bad to him. Kept apologize to him. Well, after that, it was like nothing happened. Haha. I don't think he still remember anyway. Haha
