Penang World Music Festival
Last weekend, Penang World Music Festival was held at the Botanic Garden. It was an outdoor event where everyone can sit freely everywhere. This is the first time I attended this event. Last year was the first time this event was held in Penang. It surprised me. Although it did not turn out the way I thought I would be but at least I had attended once for the event. At first I thought the event was in the Botanical Garden, the one we go for jogging. But I was surprised that there is another garden by the side of the tar road. Penangites should know which tar road I was talking about.
This is the entry ticket, a souvenir for the revellers. When we went in, there are a lot of people bringing in their own stools and mats to sit on. It did not come across my mind to bring along a mat, so we sat on the staircase the whole night. For about 2 hours we sat there until I was bored so walked about the area and came across stalls selling souvenirs and a stall doing Henna Art. I have always wanted to try it out. So I gave it a try. Although it was not a really nice drawing but it doesn't look that bad. Now it is fading away and I'm glad of it because everytime I look at my hand, I keep thinking about me being an India. Anyway, next year I will not be going again but I'm looking forward to another new event held in Penang. It's a good thing that international event held here to improve on our tourism. Keep up the good work Penang.....
Note: I had a few videos on the event but I do not have the time to upload into the net. Maybe someday when I'm free I will upload it. ;)
